Cable Certification
 CableLink will Certify your existing Fiber
Optic or UTP Data cabling. Any Cabling that CableLink installs, is always Certified, and a
Floor Plan showing Cable locations and ID numbers is always provided to the Customer, at
no additional charge!
All Fiber Optic cabling is Certified using a MOD TAP light source
and Attenuation meter. All UTP Cabling is Certified using a SIEMON MT-CAT5 Cable Scanner.
The scan tests all 568A specs including Cable ID#, length, Attenuation, Continuity, NEXT,
Wire Map and an Attenuation/CrossTalk Ratio. The Scanner then rates each cable based on
the findings, as CAT3, CAT4 or CAT5, and finally lists each Network that the cable will
support.
All Cablelink installed cables meet or exceed the 568A specs for CAT 5 cabling.
